The Washington Township Board of Trustees approved an updated noise resolution during their July 2025 meeting, replacing a previous ordinance that had been in place since 1993.
Here is some helpful information:

The resolution does not apply to sounds related to emergencies, government-authorized activities, normal operations of public spaces and services, or common uses of tools, vehicles, and equipment between the hours of 7 am-10 pm.

Waste collection services are permitted between the hours of 6 am-10 pm.

Noise violations in Washington Township should be reported to the non-emergency number for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 937-225-4357.

Violations will be determined based on whether the noise would disturb the comfort, peace, or health of a reasonable person – meaning an average person using ordinary judgment in a similar situation.

Fines will be issued as follows: $250 for the first violation, $500 for the second, and $1,000 for each additional violation.
